HOLLYWOOD (April 14, 2009) –Almost a decade has passed as the much anticipated Vinnie Moore’s solo release is about to invade the world – TO THE CORE releases May 26th on Mascot Records U.S.A.
Moore’s spent the last several years out on tour with British rock/metal band UFO. Once off tour, Moore spent time orchestrating his new album meticulously laying down the tracks to his newest guitar instrumental masterpiece.
Choosing a very retro-contemporary rock style mixed with many other styles and influences, Moore decided he would make it a good old-fashioned rock 'n' roll instrumental album. It’s just Vinnie Moore, his guitar, and his raw guitar talent – all the ingredients that make's this album a work of art.

We continue to receive more information about what was apparently abysmal security at this month's Musikmesse in Frankfurt. Musikmesse is Europe's premier musical merchandise expo, rivaled only by the two NAMM shows in the U.S. Vendors, who bring merchandise to display at these expos that can be valued into the hundreds of thousands of dollars, rely on show security to protect their merchandise from theft and damage. Music instrument dealers also rely on show security to ensure that only valid attendees are permitted to enter the event, so that their investment to attend the show can be maximized with quality and uninterrupted face time with the various manufacturers.
What is becoming clear is that security at this month's Musikmesse may have been significantly inadequate. Guitar Jam Daily has received a variety of complaints about thefts both at the loading areas and from within the expo itself. Some of the thefts are so brazen that it's difficult to imagine how such acts could have possibly occurred if there were any security present at all.

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. - Jackson has announced the Jackson Bloodline Tour at local music stores throughout the United States featuring “Metal Master Classes” with Jackson’s own Chris Cannella.
Cannella is not only Jackson’s Product Manager and Artist Relations representative, but also a formidably-talented guitarist, songwriter and vocalist who wields his many Jackson guitar models in his North American metal band Autumn’s End.
Despite his intense and intimidating appearance, Cannella is a soft-spoken walking encyclopedia of metal in general and Jackson in particular. Musicians and music fans are invited to join Chris as he demonstrates and explains his lightening-fast guitar techniques, not by using his own gear, but rather whatever’s in the store at the time. The NY Theatrical premiere of the Allman Brothers Band documentary "Please Call Home: The Big House Years" is a benefit event for the Big House Foundation.
This full-length feature documentary chronicles three years from 1970 to 1973 when the Allman Brothers Band lived in the "Big House" in Macon, Georgia. This was a time that saw triumph and tragedy as the band went from playing for free concerts to selling out stadiums across the country, but also lost two of its brothers, seminal slide guitarist Duane Allman and bassist Berry Oakley. These were the years that the group became the road warriors who broke down color barriers as the first integrated rock band to come out of the South. It's the story of the rise to prominence of this great American institution who this year are celebrating their 40th Anniversary by once again taking the stage at New York's City famed Beacon Theatre for 15 sold-out shows this March.
Produced as a fundraiser for the Big House Foundation, Please Call Home was directed by long-time Allman Brothers Band Historian, Archivist and Tour Magician, Kirk West, who with his wife Kirsten, purchased the Big House in 1993 and lived in it for 15 years before moving out to begin the process of turning the house into a museum to honor the Southern rock legends, the Allman Brothers Band.
All proceeds from this screening will benefit the Big House Foundation, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization established to create an Allman Brothers Band Museum at the Big House. Work is progressing at the Big House and the museum will be open by the end of 2009. Copies of the film will be available to purchase at the screening. Further information is available at www.pleasecallhomethemovie.com and www.thebighousemuseum.org.
This event is being hosted by Franzoso Contracting. A Q&A with the filmmakers will follow the screening.
